There is no flutter in Mark's rudder and in fact at high speed, his plane is smooth as silk. Greyhawk is correct in that the rudder trim tab was held in place by a temporary adhesive between two painted surfaces. In Mark's plane at very low speed/high AOA, elevator control becomes less and less effective/mushy and a slight vibration/shake is felt in the airframe. With this attitude held in his plane, stalls to spin entry were explored. No attempt was made to stall straight ahead. With Mark at the controls, he had rudder pedals not me, the plane rolled left 90degrees nose down. Back pressure released and some right rudder and we were out of spin entry within 1/4 turn. Then I did the same with same result.

Now for the fine print.....go fly with with someone who has a lot of experience doing this stuff. And for those of you who don't have any spin training, get some! When I learned to fly, it was part of the deal...no spins, no certificate.

ps..I'm not suggesting for a moment that you go out and spin your Lancair. I do strongly advocate that you get the training so that if you do drop that wing, you'll know how to react and keep control of your sphincter muscle.
