I recently installed the Tru-trak http://www.trutrakflightsystems.com/ttfsproducts.html altitude hold (altrak) and found it to be fairly easy to install. I like the one button operation and it holds the altitude perfectly.
My problem is that when I key the mike (ptt) and the altrak is turned off the indicator light come on. When keying the ptt and the altrak is turned on I get the flashing light, like when first starting up. I haven't had a chance to determine if it causes a dis-engage of the altrak system or not. I also note that my ptt causes my fuel gauge to head off toward empty.
Any ideas as to what I have going on? Any suggestions for trouble shooting? I sent an email to TruTrak, but have not heard from them. The rep I bought suggested that I separate the ptt wires from the bundle coming up into the back of the panel. I haven't tried that yet.
Thanks for any input and thanks for all of the great ideas that I get from reading posts on LML.
