I recently received word from John Wooley pertaining to a friend of his who
also has a 320.  It seems that the mechanical/spring elevator trim setup
came apart in-flight and resulted in a sudden and dangerous porpoising.
Fortunately the pilot regained control and landed without incident.  What came apart was the nylon block that attaches to the forward elevator
pushrod.  This block had cracked and sheared off due to years of use.  Up
until that incident, this aircraft had flown without any hint of this
problem.  It would be in everyone's best interest to inspect this as soon
as possible and it only takes a few minutes.  Access should be gained
through the center console and ANY cracks found should be presumed
unacceptable and the entire block replaced before your next flight.

Happy flying!!!
