I agree with Peter, however to attach the cowl halves
I used undersized pins because they were eaiser to
insert.  I cannot detect any movement as yet with 100
hours on the plane.  I used the standard size pins for
the lower cowl to firewall.

cowl-firewall and upper and lower cowling halves. Their is no movement. I used
camlocs for the upper cowl to firewall. I used standard pins but be very careful
not to contaminate the inside of the hinge. I got some primer and it took
some tinkering to unbind them. the hinges bond well. A very sturdy system.
