You're right. And a good topic to continue upon however, my point was to loose significant altitude (say 5000 feet) in a controlled and predictable manor after arriving above a suitable landing site. Clearly there are MANY ways of loosing 5000 I just picked this one because it kept me, at best glide, pretty close over head.
