It ain't the glass, it's the speed and the safety history. I can fly my GlaStar on final at 55 kt, or even at 45 kt full stall all the way to the runway at a controllable 650 fpm descent to a power-up at flare. With my ES-P I expect to double those speeds, and with that speed comes damage risk. The big ES wing gives us t/o or land roll at 50% that of the IV-P.
