Gents:  A loud "right on" to the techy engine talk.  I like it--and hope
Jack, George, Gary and the rest of you engine gurus and wannabe gurus
continue the debate.  I am also learning new and wonderful ways to insult
people nicely, always a handy expertise.  But more to the point: piston
airplane engines have been around for a long time and have generated much
mystery; we all need one (unless you own an oil well); we have few
choices--all expensive; we are very dependent on the darn thing once
airborne--so a little passionate discussion is a good thing.  And remembering
that anecdote is singular for data, many anecdotes plotted together might
yield insight.  Oh--what is FMEP??  Is it what happens when you fat finger
BMEP??  Keep them big words coming.  ta ta, paul (LIV builder and learner)
