What speed are you extending the flaps, when the severe trim requirement
occurs?  Are you aware that there is a very low flap extend speed on the
Lancair 320/360?

Jim, I'm not aware of the flap extend speed on the 320/360, but Jim is
extending the flaps at 100 knots indicated, which doesn't seem inordinately
high to me.  We're going to tuft a wing and the horizontal on Saturday and
I'll photo chase him for some shots.  We intend to measure (qualitatively)
longitudinal stability over a wide range.  Hmmm.  Maybe I'll borrow a
handheld force gauge from NTPS and do it right....

He recently relocated his static ports to the recommended location (from the
pitot/static tube), so we'll include some pace work.

BTW, would your AOA system work on a T-38/F-5 type?
