Now, measure that at any partial throttle condition and you will find that they do not siphon the same HP. The belt-driven systems experience the same problems as the gear-driven superchargers do in radials. They drain a lot of HP and this drain is worse than the exhaust systems at any partial throttle position. I operate two gear-driven supercharged engines and one exhaust-driven supercharged engine. I have looked at the *measured* effects.
I do not sell either system.
I find the exhaust-driven system to be more efficient and have not found it to have any untoward operational or maintenance issues.
