I am a first time builder building a ES with a slow build kit. The stab went together reasonably well, but I have had a difficult time trying to position the elevator bottom skin and spar so there is no contact. I am nearly there on the elevator up travel but it seems like there is no way on the down travel, especially out near the tips of the elevator. when I look at the clearance from the end I can't see how the top skin can fit on at all. I am reluctant to sand the bottom skin to increase the space, because the manual says to try to leave at least 1 inch of joggel for bonding. I would appreciate any hints from those of you who got by this area.
