The FG is "only" 200 lbs
heavier. 1300 vs 1500 according to lancair figures. I assume this is
mainly due to the larger engine and 3 blade prop. (The retract gear adds
is heavier than the fixed too but this is carbon fiber which is lighter than the
fiberglass FG. The performance wouldnt be anywhere near the 550 but it
should be pretty good. Better than the Lancair 360s out there i would
guess.
