While we're at it, let me just extend the question to ask if anyone who operates a wxworx or wsi receiver can comment on whether satellite reception has been an issue.    I've heard it said that if you mount the wsi antenna under e-glas you need to get it right up against the skin or it doesn't work.   I don't know if that is truth or rumor.

I looked back through the archives to find what was said about wxworx and wsi.
There are many things to discuss but the one that has my attention at the moment is which service will dominate.
 
I planned wsi + mx20 into my IVP panel because at the time (spring 2004) IMO WSI was the only one that was really ready for an in-panel installation. 
 
Since then wxworx has expanded their offerings, won the business from Garmin, put up more satellites etc.
I'm wondering if they are going to gain more momemtum and challenge the viability of WSI to the point where WSI service and support becomes an issue.
 
Anyone care to offer a look in their crystal ball?
