Good stuff! I think it is worth mentioning again, using layman's terms, how bank angle effects stall speed. You all know the basics. The point to drill home is that it is CRITICAL to carry extra speed until on final. It is not that you can't get away with a somewhat slower speed in the turns, but it does not give you the margin you need if something unexpected happens that requires either increasing the bank or the AOA.
Consider this: you've begun your right base to final turn , maybe a little low and a little slow. Your scan goes from the panel to the runway, and then you turn to looks straight ahead....and just ahead, slightly offset to the left...is a FLOCK OF BIRDS! You're instinct is going to have you increase your bank and pull to miss the birds.... That extra speed is the difference between money in the bank on a rainy day, and Luigi leaving a fish wrapped in newspaper on your door step....
