Dana,

I understood that the solvent forms a very thin 3rd layer between the
surface and the glue. I don't know if this is true. I heated my joints with
a heat gun prior to adding epoxy to flash off the MCl and sanded the wet
epoxy onto the surface (I read that that helps somewhere in my old manual).
