3 KTS lost  Also, note that I did not change the mixture in these MAP tests.  I was heading West and all work was done in smooth air.

 

3. b. I then spiraled down to 9500 and headed East letting things stabilize.  So, at 9500 MSL, 9560 Palt, 9320 Dalt, then as in 3.a.

 

WOT, 22.1" MAP, 8.5 gph, 170 IAS, -3C OAT, 195 TAS, -6C TAT and 250 Knot Ground Speed

 

         21.1" MAP, 8.0 gph, 165 IAS, -3C OAT, 188 TAS, -6C TAT

This data falls within the expected varience for MAP, OAT and TAS, given the precision of measurements. Looks like speed varies with the cube root of power after all.
