My friend sent the pump back to his engine rebuilder in exchange for a new one. All handled "in warranty" so no cost to him but the trouble; still I thought it interesting that a number of folks are finding similar problems. Bob Bad manufacture and or rebuild is always a possibility. Compare serial numbers and rebuilder and date. I will check the one I changed and post the number.
