Tim and others:
You asked for additional pictures. Here is my first cut at what I heard at
Ada. The baffles are not nearly as pretty as those George showed, but all I
had was a band saw, vise, and a ball peen hammer.
On cyl 1 the new baffle will attach with nut plates to the existing baffle.
The new baffle protects from the hot exhaust pipe as well as putting air
thru the fins.
On cyl 2 I removed the Lancair plate and added the baffle - will attach the
baffle with pop rivets.
On cyl 5 I cut the hole in the existing front baffle and put an eyebrow over
the hole. I will also add the new baffle - attached with nut plates.
Cyl 6 uses a baffle around the fins that put air thru fins as well as
protecting the fins from the hot exhaust pipe. The top of the existing
baffle in front has an eyebrow with a deflector directing air down thru the
front fins.
