Well, if allowed to evaporate, that is correct but as you said, wiping quickly and several times until it was wiping away clean was a pretty good indication of getting it all. And MEK is a lot slower solvent if you wanted less volitility. But once the surface is very clean so that it didn't smear contaminates and then ground to a fresh clean surface, it would probably be a pretty good bond anyway, even if you just vacuumed it. Hell, I've done a lot less prep on many repairs I've done so I don't get bent out of shape if the prep is carefully sanded and cleaned even if that isn't lab grade chemicals and lab wipes. I never did use the Klix or Dupont solvents, I'll defer to your knowledge on that.
