The heart attack while using MC is probably
unrelated to the MC. This is a case of coincidence, not causation. It is a
common error in lay attempts to understand medical events to say that because
two events are coincident, they are causally related.
The fact is that the health risks of MC are at best
questionable. I know MC is regulated by OSHA, etc. But that simply means that
some bureaucrat got a burr up his ass. It doesn't mean that there is any reality
to it.
Heart attacks can happen in almost any place or
activity. Let's not blame it on something as useful as MC that does not cause
heart attacks.
