I talked to owners about paint colors, concerned about the silver and heat. They took one of those little guns you point at something and it measures the temperature down to "automobile row" in their town and checked temps on a hot day. They said the silver that they used was no warmer than the whites they measured. It would be a simple task for someone with one of those guns to take a few measurements at the mall parking lot some hot summer day.
