No nasty tendencies, at least at low power settings. I have not played with high power stalls, as I don't have enough rudder to keep the ball centered at low speeds and full power. In climb at full power and 100 mph, I hold about 80% right rudder to counteract P factor. A friend who has since sold his stock (small tail) 235 performed several intentional spins in his plane, only solo, and presumably with wing tanks empty or nearly so. He reported nothing untoward. I do not assume that this has any connection with how MY aircraft or YOUR aircraft would behave. On a low energy loop in my 235, I found myself slow on top, and holding full back stick at something well under 1 g positive. I floated over the top, and on the down line, with the stick still well aft, the aircraft entered an accelerated stall (power at idle) and began a left roll. Immediate application or right rudder and releasing back pressure stopped rotation immediately, and resulted in a recovery 20 degrees off of entry heading. This is a close as I've come to spinning my plane. Tom Low N31CD --Boundary_(ID_Om+cXQdgyFuW3PXDsA/l5g) Content-type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Message

My 235 stalls conventionally as well.  No nasty tendencies, at least at low power settings.  I have not played with high power stalls, as I don’t have enough rudder to keep the ball centered at low speeds and full power.

This is a close as I’ve come to spinning my plane.
