I've had a couple of them on my IV, even the 35XC from Concorde, they seem to poop out in a year, even with frequent use and a correctly set voltage regulator. So, for now, I'm back to a regular Gill 35. I fully agree that they are safer as there is no spill danger, but they gotta be able to crank a big Continental...
