Additionally, the crank itself has an engineering defficiency which, to my knowledge has never been publicly acknowledged by the factory. You know, the poopoo factor......when the hydraulic ram is extended and retracted, it can strike one of the push rods to the flap. Have your day made by finding a deep groove worn into your pushrod tube.....and we knew it was close to interferring, so we checked and rechecked it by using paper shims as a feeler guage. After a period of time the clearance disappeared and we got grooves worn in the side of the push rod tubing......not a nice sight. Hey Lancair, how about admitting and addressing this problem before someone is killed? Your new potential insurance carrier wont hang around long if people start dying......the poopoo factor is going to come back and bite you in the ass someday. Have a nice day flying everyone....is your child sitting above that bell crank that might have grooves in the flap pushrod tube? And don't anyone from the factory contact me and tell me to tone down my criticism--I will not have any of it--I have seen too many guys die from stupid engineering lately. You are aware of this problem, have not addressed it, and when it kills someone, you are liable. Have a nice day. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML homepage: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html
