I searched the world over and can not find "B & C Specialty" (on the NET).
Do you have their phone number?
316 283 8000. They are in Newton Kansas, Dorothy. They also make first class
voltage regulators, alternators and standby alternators.
And thank you for the advice. What is the minimum gauge wire from Battery
to starter solenoid to starter?
How long is a piece of string? ;) Actually it depends on the average current
draw and the length of run. Ask Bill at B & C for a recommendation when using
his starters. Better yet buy Bob Nuccolls book "AeroElectric Connection"
available at www.aeroelectric.com. Shameless plug.
Also, what are your suggestions for quieting the IV inside in order of
priority?
Turn off the engine :~0 Sorry, couldn't resist.
1) Seal air leaks (does not apply to Ps)
2) Install Lancair sound proofing kit.
3) Install interior and headliner.
4) Isolate pilot and copilot floor boards from exhaust tunnel.
5) Stop flying through precipitation.
6) Invite nagging mother-in-law for ride in plane. You will be grateful for the
noise ;)
