I have 400 hours on the plane and the prop. I contacted American Propeller and they advised me it would have to be disassembled and sent to MT for modification. They said the cost would be about $2,200. Those of you who have had the modification done, is this about what you had to pay? Are the new seals and the modification working? They also told me that I could have a complete rebuilt for about $3,000, but that would not include bearings if I need them. It doesn't seem like I should need a complete rebuild unless there has been damage to the bearings due to lack of grease, but it would put the prop back to zero hours. I would appreciate any advise you could give me. Thanks. Mike Reinath 360 at 400 hours TT
