Its easy to complain when we have problems but it
isn't often we take the time to give a compliment when
one is due. The following describes my problem and the
response that defines good customer service.

I recognized there was a problem when the hydraulic
pump would come on every eight seconds or so.  I went
through the process to isolate which hydraulic
cylinder was allowing fluid to pass by the O-rings.  I
removed and disassembled the problem unit and found
the piston an cylinder to be scored.  I went to a
hydraulic shop in the area to purchase new O-rings. However, the hydraulic shop said that new O-rings
would not fix this problem.  I called Tim Ong at Lancair and related what I had
found and what the hydraulic shop told me.  Tim and I
discussed it briefly.  Tim said that it was to late to
send a new one out today but he would get it sent out
the next day.  I said thanks, that would be fine.  The
next day I received a call from Dave at Lancair with a
an authorization number for the return of the
defective part and Dave said he would over-night a new
cylinder and there would be no charge for the new
part.

This hydraulic cylinder has approximately 75 cycles on
it.  While quality control may be an issue with the
manufacturer of this unit, its the positive response
of Tim Ong and Lancair thats important.  Thanks Tim!
