If the engine powers down (wastegate open) it would be hard to get an overspeed. In any event, that is one of the reasons we are wanting to see the data to see what is happening. That is why we call these experimental aircraft !!! If the oil pump unports, won't the prop governor also loose its oil supply sending the prop to fine pitch which would then result in an engine overspeed?
