Although I did not know him, the bonds we have in common stir real mourning in my heart. As has been speculated, Shannon's plane was equipped with a Chelton EFIS and the data cards were recovered. I received them from the NTSB and we have been successful in recovering the flight information and engine data from the last few flights. We will spend the next few days formatting the information and preparing a report for the NTSB. It is my understanding that the NTSB is continuing their investigation into the wreckage, including the engine. I am confident, because of the quality of the data available to supplement the NTSB's investigation, that the concise sequence of events resulting in this accident will be determined.
