Fellow builders,
So I have looked everywhere and the real nice eyeball vents Lancair USED to carry and no longer exist. I have a source that can make them providing I can get 30-50 at a minimum. If there are any of you out there that would be interested in this sort of vent please let me know. Here's why I want THIS model.
I want to have four vents in my Legacy. two will mount under the instrument panel (one each side) and two blowing air to my feet. This one will allow me to make a mounting flange below the panel to do so. (Without the ugly four screws). Note from the images below that there is a retaining ring (or nut) that screws from the rear.
It's possible to mount this vent in your instrument panel and get a nice, clean installation (RVers prefer the one too).
