The Sentry probably just doesn't work as well bobbing up and down at low altitudes - a great equalizer for us simple piston folk. That's not bad when you consider the Race:
 
Leg1 280 NM
SQI turn at 700 MSL
Leg2 38 NM
RFD turn at 800 MSL
Leg3 89 NM
