My Procedure, which is easily done alone, is the following:
1. Open canopy
2. Jam a 1x2 cut to right length between seatback /center console and canopy frame.
3. Detach struts
4. Attach four point harness between canopy (at strut attach balls and rear frame at strickers) and engine hoist. 5. Remove 1x2. Harness holds the canopy in open position.
6. Remove pivot bolts while kneeling on seats and reaching over instrument panel.
7. Swing canopy back and up to clear forward deck
8. Pull engine hoist away with canopy. Chris Zavatson

To LNC2 owners with the forward hinged canopy -- How do you remove or reinstall it?
I find it a bit of a challenge to connect the hinges now before I have the plexiglas mounted in the canopy frame, or anything installed between the instrument panel and header tank. It seems once all that stuff is in place the hinges will be totally inaccessibly. What's the secret?
