240 KTAS. Yep, it's true (no pun intended). I have about five hours in it and 22" @ 2450-2500 RPM with 17.5 GPH burn it does indeed true out to 240-245 KTAS. Indicated speed even at 2400 RPM is 220 KIAS. Josh can confirm these numbers and more.
As an aside, Josh is not just an excellent pilot, but an excellent instructor. Very low key, but watching everything you do. We had the pleasure of him flying close formation for the Lancair photo shoot. My photographer and I nicknamed him "the magnet".
Very fast plane. Lancairs are the best!
