I have flown one at Air Orlando at KORL. The limitations of the sim are basically the progamming of flight characteristics. If those match the prototype well enough, the FAA will rate that sim for flight time for the A/C, and an instrument ticket can even be earned in it. The investment in such a device should be a LOT less than a full A/C. Also, flight costs are typically about $120 per hour with an instructor. Again, less than the big bird. Also, it can run at all hours in all weather. The factory could even get a small royalty for its use. Ted Noel, Lancair IV-P, going to the airport in 3 days. ------------------------------------ BibleOnly Press, home of I Want to be Left Behind http://www.bibleonly/press/index.html The Bible Only If the Bible doesn't teach it, neither will we. http://www.bibleonly.org
