In that accident the TSIO 550 failed due to the starter adapter shaft breaking, causing all of the oil to be lost thru the exhaust pipes. The aircraft (N707SH) made a forced landing and experienced extensive damage, including a broken wing. (NTSB report DEN01LA103). The aircraft was built by Steve Hall in Ypsilanti Mich. in 2000. The aircraft apparently was sold to the present registered owned Ward Synthesis. I wonder if the previous accident had anything to do with this terrible accident.
