Today I flew and down to Taft o17, near Bakersfield and visited with Everett Williams, we had a nice visit. Everett has been flying since 1943, has built 4 other homebuilts besides Lancair N207EW. He has also rebuilt a half dozen factory aircraft. The airplane appeared to be well built and straight, Everett is quick to point out all flaws and shortcomings. Here are the particulars of Everett's airplane: Price slashed to $48,275, empty weight is 913 # gross weight is 1600 lbs. 687 lbs. useful. the plane holds 48 gal. of fuel. & has a range of approx. 1000 miles. radio gear consists of a terra 760 try nav.C transponder is a terra 250 with mode C altitude reporting fly buddy, transmit, button on stick. voice activated intercom. the instruments are airspeed in both knots & m.p.h .altimeter , artificial horizon , turn & bank vertical speed directional gyro vertical card compass.& vac gauge. the engine is a Lycoming 0320 E2D Cruise speed at 75% power is 180 MPH. at 8 gal. per hr. Landing speed at approx 70 MPH. It will burn Mogas. has 330 hrs since new . the air frame has 211 hours on it .
