It is an audible warning in the headset telling you to put the gear down-rather insistently if you don't do it the first time. I also believe the AOA can also do the same. =20 It does 2 things, it tells you when you are going too slowly in climb out and when you are slowing up for landing to get the gear down. I would not have a retractable without it. It is a $750 insurance policy.
