Dumb question for the week:

How does one hold the Legacy nose gear gas strut compressed
to the 10.5"-8.25" length while moving from the compression jig
to the NLG??

(The ones with forks were bad enough, the round rod ends have
got the best of me ... no help in the archives searching on
'gas struts' - 69 hit - no help)
