I have a neat device I made that works well on my IV--don't have any pics today, but will try to take a couple with the digital camera this weekend.  In brief, imagine a collapsible aluminum pitchfork which braces between the rudder pedals and the front wall of the spar box when extended.  Works well, is inside the aircraft, and is simple.

Subject: [LML] Rudder gust lock

LML Gang,

Do any of you have an elegant solution for a rudder gust lock for the Lancair?  I’ll be parked outside for a few days at Copperstate and would like to be able to lock the controls.  Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

Dan
