Here's my suggestion: Science is the process of testing hypotheses, and all or most of the bonding recipes posted here are just not science at all---they are just guesses. Here's what I would like to see happen--- Round up all your best and brightest young scientists ages 12-18 and have them do the science (and try to get extra credit in school science class or science fair). Take a bunch of samples of aluminum and a bunch of types of epoxy (ask for donations from builders). Write the test plan, do the test matrix, publish the results (personally I'd like to see it all on the 'net). Great fun, valuable knowledge. I also suggest cash prizes (I'll contribute!) or free rides in Lancairs! I would much rather trust the well-documented test results of a 12-year-old budding scientist than the trusted hunches of any seasoned veteran builder. Regards, Eric M.
