Folks -
No one can agree on how to judge a "true" barrel roll, therefore it is not
included in the CIVA catalog of competition aerobatic figures. IMHO, if the
aircraft describes a corkscrew flight path it is a barrel roll, regardless
of the G loading. If the nose stays on the horizon it is an aileron roll,
aka "slow roll". If pitch and yaw are used to stall one wing, it is a snap
roll.
Now even I'm ready to get back to Lancair discussions!
