One
thing the insurance companies are good at is collecting data. For many, many
years, they've been auctioning off aircraft remains. They (the insurance
adjustors) know, from their history of salvage auctions, the salvage value of
any aircraft. From there, it's a simple numbers game.

After Ron's posting about Aircraft insurance, I was
Thinking some more, and What I kind of want to know is WHO decides what the
Salvage Valve is for the insurance companies??? aka his 50000 dollar
example?
Any ideas ???
Thanks
