They were impressed enough to soon offer it as part of their regular option line. They also took the one I had with me off my hands so I didn't have to carry it around! Hopefully some of you saw it at the KC table. In the near future you will be able to order the removable window frame kit either from us at AirCrafters or from Vern at Kit Components. Kit Components may be able to offer more convenient payment or shipping options. Pricing will be the same. Thanks to all those who have waited patiently for their frames to be shipped. If you've made a deposit and are in a bind please let me know. I' ll make every effort to expedite your order. Back to pricing: there's good news and bad news. The good news is that as we've been perfecting the manufacturing process, we've produced a few frames with cosmetic blemishes in the shiny epoxy finish. The bubbles can be cleaned up by filling them with either epoxy or your favorite filler. With a little body work and polishing the epoxy repair can be made virtually indistinguishable from the surrounding carbon weave pattern. If you use filler you really need to paint it. So if you were planning on painting the frame, or if you're willing to do some epoxy work, you can buy these parts for 15% off until we run out--$255 for one or $467 for left and right. We have 4 or 5 sets of blemished frames. Give me a call or email to order them. If you've already made a deposit you'll get the appropriate credit. Of course the bad news is that our special introductory pricing will end for all orders taken after August 8, 2003. The new prices are $369 for a single kit, $699 for left and right. The parts coming out of the molds now are getting better and better every day. They fit great and the finish is really nice. We have all the hardware in stock, the instructions are nearly complete, and as soon as I have one installed in our test plane I will begin shipping. I expect to be sending parts out by August 15. Please call or email with any questions. Dave Saylor AirCrafters LLC 831-722-9141
