That is nothing but pressure and it was TOTALLY unreasonable of ATC to place
you under it under the circumstances of following or crossing in the wake of
a much larger aircraft in what can only be described as a very light
aircraft.
The controller would have been doing a good job if he/she gave you more
appropriate options.
So, in my view, it is NOT your fault in isolation.
