I have installed a modified version of Chucks cowls on my angle-valve 360. It certainly looks nice without the bottom bump. That said, I'm not sure I saw
much, if any, speed increase. Maybe a knot. I used to have tons of bumps and bulges on my old cowl -- I called it my Test Mule. I had 2 big air scoops
and the bottom bulge. I found that the two air scoops, when removed, gave me a speed increase of 2 knots each. When I removed the bottom bulge
(effectively relocating the air intake) I saw virtually no difference in speed. But I do like the looks. The other scoops resulted in speed increases probably
more because of the fact that the air intake was ELIMINATED as opposed to just moving it.
Here's a picture of before and after.
