I have been a Lancair builder since I bought my "Super Fast Build" kit nine years ago.  I'm half done.  (No, it's not Lancair's fault.  If I got my butt into the garage more often, I'd be flying by now.)

Builder support has changed over the years.  In the early days you called up and got a tech support guy on the phone immediately.  That has tailed off somewhat, and recently I've had to leave messages.  E-mails are good too, but we didn't have the internet when I started building.  At least, if we did, I didn't use it.

I haven't called Lancair (except Vern) for several months, but I'm really surprised that y'all haven't gotten your questions responded to.  I've had no problems (but then, I don't call that often).  This e-mail forum is an excellent resource and a big reason why I don't need to call up to Redmond as often.  However, I don't count on same-day support like I used to, either, except for buying parts, which runs flawlessly.

I'm glad to hear that Lancair is adding more tech support guys.  That should help.  What might also help is a "frequently asked question" section on their website for the same old questions that they answer once per builder.  Maybe when they get the new guys on line, they can spend some time typing up the answers to repeat questions and just post them.
