Not so sure doctor, anything that can be used as a tool will come in handy
sooner or later. I bought two (pairs of?) forceps a long time ago while
building - a straight nosed and a curved nosed unit (a Cyrano and a Durante
perhaps?) and found them invaluable for instance, for installing otherwise
impossible to reach cable ties and/or picking up the inevitable dropped nut
or screw where my No. 2 size fingers couldn't reach. Used them for other
things too but don't recall the particulars.
For the guys in the LA area, I got mine cheap at a tool surplus store on
Paramount Blvd. about 7 - 10 miles north of Long Beach (don't remember the
name but they're in the book). Also purchased all the Clecos I'd ever need
in several sizes - they sell them by weight - at about a buck a pound.
