Hello All: I am interested in hearing if any of you flying 320/360's
with wrapped exhaust pipes, have thought your egt's were a little
high.Mine appear to be and my fuel burn is a bit high for a 360 in
cruise.about 11/11.2 gph.Egt's are 1568 full power climb at 18.7 gph
fuel burn.My cyl head temps are cool, but the egt,s in climb and cruise
seem out of line.Would any of you care to share your #'s ?I would like
to hear from wrapped and unwrapped engines.I may be all wet,but my
thinking is that the heat being trapped in those pipes is creating a
lean condition and high egt's.I would like to remove them, but if I am
wrong they are a bear to rewrapp.I put them on originally to keep heat
away from the cowling. It does seem to do that. Also, what do any of you
feel is a normal egt temp in cruise (eg. 75 rich of peak ect.)I have
been told to run my IO 360 150 rich of peak.
