I recently noticed that the flanges on the factory exhaust pipes are not flat
when torqued up against the heads of my IO-360 (gaskets installed).  The surface
appears to bow away from the head between the studs.  The flanges appear flat
enough when removed from the head.  I don't see daylight under the sealing
surface of the gasket. .  Have any of you seen this happen in your
installations?   I read that any exhaust blow-by will burn nearby components. Also, can anyone recommend a torque value for the exhaust flange nuts?  I can't
seem to locate one in either the Lycoming or Lancair manual.

Much Appreciated,
Ed de Chazal
