If you can figure it out, It is so simple I can't imagine anyone fell for it. Here's what's going on: You are given the following cards: 9S, 7D, 8C, 7S, 8D, 9H After you pick a card, he makes your card disappear by presenting you with: 7C, 9D, 8S, 9C, 7H Sure enough, your card is missing -- but so are al the other 5 cards! Note that ALL the cards from the original 6 are missing. The 5 that are presented later are similar: Two each of 7's and 8's, one black and one red, but from the other red and black suite, and only one 9. If you were concentrating on your own card and not paying attention to the other cards, you would not notice. To bring this post back to Lancair, or at least flying....... the reason this and so many other magic tricks work is because you, the subject, concentrate so much on one item (your card in this case) that you fail to notice what else is going on around you. It is called fixation. It makes magicians rich and pilots dead. Lets avoid it, especially when flying. > you can probably generate lift > without the need of wings. It is called a helicopter.
