yesterday's tool search lasted much longer than my wife would have
cared for.  Looking at borescope specs http://www.gradientlens.com/bore_products-choosing.asp and deciding on a rigid (best image), wide field of view (see the hole show, not scratches), offset direction (see valves from the plug hole) was easy but
finding one I could afford was a challenge.  http://www.titantoolsupply.com/55sereis.html offered a 95 field of view offset 60 degrees on a 12" shaft that I could afford.  The problem with
the wide field is getting enough light in there.  The $160 flashlight
upgrade helps 3x but some how that 10% discount offered on the phone for
the $400 desk lamp upgrade worked..  yea, its expensive, but its a real
prism offset so the image is erect and everything else in this category
is $3k closed the deal...
